The story of this nature glamping
In 2012 a couple of noble heritage, Thierry and Katia, decided to create a stylish B&B with 7 comfortable rooms and a Spa, in the 17th century barn next to their house, named: PARK7. Located in the castle park of the counts of Limburg Stirum in Huldenberg. Completely surrounded by nature of the green grape region.
Although PARK7 was very popular, the couple wanted to create something even more luxurious and unique, especially since Covid created the need for more privacy.
While the estate still offered plenty of space and the owner Thierry is very creative, he designed a new kind of glamping experience himself. He started building his innovative luxury tent in 2021 and finished it in March 2022.
Thierry and Katia created something truly unique, situated along an idyllic river, with its own path and private parking, about hundred meters from PARK7.
Creating the ultimate 5 star nature glamping
And obviously they spared no expense, equipping the tent with an insulated cover, private sanitary facilities, including marble bathroom with panoramic rain shower and a separate toilet, a big comfortable king size bed, a kitchenette, and more, to truly create the ultimate 5 star nature glamping in this tranquil region of Belgium.
They were able to make this the ultimate Covid-proof luxury camping experience.
The ROOM8 dome tent is classy, comfortable, authentic and so cozy, perfect for a romantic getaway or to celebrate something special, like an anniversary, for example.
In my opinion one night is certainly not enough to experience everything this luxury accommodation and the surroundings have to offer. But luckily ROOM8 has great discount offers for 2 or more night stays!
And if you don’t want to leave, you can even order dinner at your tent through several options that they're happy to arrange for you. Or you can bring your own food to prepare on your private outdoor BBQ.

Explore the surroundings of ROOM8 Belgium
Although the views from your tent, veranda and the direct nature surroundings will make it hard to leave your glamping accommodation, there's still plenty to see and do in the vicinity.
ROOM8 has several routes mapped out for walking and hiking enthusiasts. And for various forms of cycling it's possible to rent the bike of your choice through ROOM8 at the local rental company, to explore even more of the valleys and plateaus of this grape region.
The small town Huldenberg, located in the province of Flemish Brabant, is just a brief walk from the accommodation. Towns like Overijse, Grave, Waver, Zaventem and Tervuren, are also a short drive away. And you're located just 15 km from Brussels and 18 km from Leuven, offering something for everyone.
Sightseeing in Leuven
Although we found it hard to even leave this private slice of heaven during our 2 night stay, we did manage to go out once to explore more of the buzzing city Leuven. Although it's quite big, it was not crowded, with several interesting squares and neighborhoods a bit further apart, reachable on foot.
As I already visited Brussels before, I was very excited to explore more of Leuven and was pleasantly surprised! The city has many beautiful historic buildings and impressive architecture to offer!
The squares Grote Markt and Oude Markt are a must visit for their mansions with beautiful facades surrounding it, the many nice bars and restaurants with an abundance of terraces.
And of course for the stunning Cathedral, Gothic City Hall and other impressive churches and ancient buildings nearby.

Unesco must visit Groot Begijnhof - Leuven
But what impressed me the most was the medieval Groot Begijnhof, located a bit further from the busy city center. If it was not for the recommendation of Thierry of ROOM8, we would not have found it or parked at the nearby parking.
This ancient neighborhood of the city is a Unesco world heritage site and now offers housing for students, ambassadors, other foreign visiting professors and staff of the oldest Catholic university in Europe.
It actually dates back to the 13th century and housed 360 ‘Begijnen’ in its heyday in the 17th century. These were women who devoted themselves to God but did not take monastic vows. They lived here together and were mainly concerned with charity.
It’s now open to the public and can be visited daily free of charge, consisting of cobblestoned alleyways, tranquil courtyards, and gardens surrounded by ancient buildings.
